No, you can’t. Most Smart TVs do not support webcams. Therefore Tellybean has developed an innovative way around this limitation. The Tellybean video calling app on Android and iOS phones or tablets turns your mobile phone into a wireless webcam for video calls on the TV. You will need to have Tellybean app installed on both TV and mobile device to make TV video calls.
Yes, the webcam app feature is available for iOS devices. To connect your iPhone with your TV your phone need to be connected to the same WiFi network. Once you are on a Tellybean call with your mobile, you will see a TV icon. When you click the TV icon and select your TV. You will then see the incoming call on the TV.
Currently the webcam feature is not available on Nvidia Shield Android TV. We hope to enable webcam support for Nvidia Shield users soon. Until then you can use your iOS or Android mobile phone as a wireless webcam.

You can invite others to join Tellybean directly from the Tellybean app on your mobile device. Press “invite” in the contact list.
In the Tellybean app you can send invites to any of your friends in your phone’s contact list, as long as you have their mobile phone number. After your friend has downloaded the Tellybean app and logged in on their phone, they will automatically appear as one of your contacts.
If you still don’t see your friend, make sure that you have the same mobile phone number saved on your phone as they used for logging in to Tellybean.
